Happy New Year to all of you out there in the blogosphere! I hope your holidays have been bright and that you have filled yourself with the proper doses of family, fun and festivities. I have been on a whirlwind trip through the Southwest -- Scottsdale, Sedona, the Grandest of all National Parks (the Grand Canyon) and now I'm in Santa Fe. While it sounds quite glamorous and exciting, the truth is, that four of the past six days have been spent in a condo taking care of my own -- and then my son's -- not-so-jolly cold/flu from hell. Now that I've finally been able to leave the make-shift sick room post antibiotics, I can finally keep at least one of my New Year's resolutions...
Guess what it is? C'mon guess! No, not the ones about losing weight, working out more, keeping in better touch with my friends and returning my mother's calls within a 72 hour period. No -- this is the "I gotta blog at least once a week" resolution.
Truth be told, I'm not a big resolution kind of gal. I mean have you ever met anyone who has actually kept one? But because I've had so much time on my hands lately I decided to make two resolutions:
1. Blog at least once a week (and this can even include workshop follow-ups which is practically cheating because I already DO post my workshop goodies on my blog -- but not always in a timely manner. Yeah, I should probably work on that too.
2. I'm going to wear a pedometer. That's it. I'm not even going to psyche myself out my committing to 10,000 steps. For now, I'm just going to wear it and look at it and ....Oh my gosh -- It's almost 10:00 at night and I've only walked 9554 steps today. OK. So I'm kidding myself. I'm wearing a pedometer AND I want to walk at least 10,000 steps a day.
I'll keep you posted on the pedometer. As far as the blogging goes, it should be self-explanatory if you check in regularly.
