During the WPRA 2009 Conference at the incredible Wisconsin Dells I presented a way to brief session called, "Save a Forest, Sprout a Blog" which introduced an enthusiastic group of park and recreation professionals to the wonderful world of web logs. As promised during the session, I'm happy to share a few resources mentioned during the workshop.
The first is a link to a YouTube Video from "In Plain English" which VERY simply defines the what, why and how of blogging.

The link below will take you to the entire PowerPoint presentation. It's almost as good as being there -- I said almost...
If you attended the session -- please leave a comment below to tell me what you thought. If you didn't attend but need help getting on the blog bandwagon -- let me know by posting a comment here.

Hi Jodi. I too enjoyed your sessions (all 3 of them!). I am looking forward to invitation on the sponsorship and marketing webinars. I also intend to look through your sponsorship resources on this site. Hope to see you at next year's conference on branding!
Follow up question for you: I am looking to insert coupons into my newsletter so people are on the edge of their seats waiting for it BUT any suggestions on controls. In other words, what do I do to prevent people from photo copying the coupons?

Jodi:
I really enjoyed your session on Blogging at the WPRA Conference in Wisconsin Dells. I just wish you had more time. So I am completing my homework assignment, and posting something on your blog. Thank you for coming to Wisconsin and presenting to us. You were outstanding, and I hope you return to WPRA someday.
